The pressing pile machine is a kind of full hydrostatic transmission machine. It balances the resistance produced during pile driving with the help of its weight. When the static pressure surpasses the resistance the piles face during entering the soil, the pile will gradually enter the soil following the pressing direction at the working speed of the pressing equipment.

The machine uses hydraulic principle. The high-pressure oil from the high-pressure pump drives the pile underground through the cylinder. The approach can avoid the vibration, noise and pollution from pile driving, so the machine is called environmentally friendly pile driver. It imposes little impact on the foundation and the adjacent buildings in the vicinity, so it is widely used in driving piles with the soft soil as foundation. 

The machine adopts step-type travel. The upper part of the pile frame is equipped with lifting device, so it can feed itself piles.
